- This years’ Journal of Hand Surgery Journal Prize goes to the team of Professor Furniss from Oxford, for their excellent paper ‘The association of bariatric surgery and Dupuytren’s disease: a propensity score-matched cohort study’. The paper is based on a large cohort study, and proves that weightloss can increase the risk of Dupuytren’s contracture.
